• Beef Cubes 10/10 🤤
• Sunddubu jiggae (spicy tofu stew) 7/10 👌
• Mentaiko Pasta 0/10 👎
• Cheesy Spicy Chicken with Tteobeokki 8/10 👍 (not in picture)

Overall will not visit again. Only the beef cubes were worth my money ($18 for 10 wagyu cubes).

Mentaiko pasta is so disgusting (mentaiko lovers, you will be so so so disappointed!! The plain ingredients aside, the pasta literally taste like buttery cream wtf 🤬).

Spicy Tofu Stew was not bad. the soup tasted good.

Was such a scam, told them im using Burpple when i entered, and we had 3pax. After eating and going to counter to pay, i told them i want redeem 2 deals (4 dishes total) and they told me cannot cos we only have 3pax??? None of the restaurants i went to had this rule. I was able to redeem as many deals as i wanted cos Burpple doesn't go by the number of pax. I asked again and they still rejected me saying 2 person one deal. So in the end we paid $60 for 4 dishes ($20 each pax) + none of the dishes were even filling wtf (all 3 of us girls were still hungry) such a waste of money DONT GO.

i love this place’s kimchi fried rice but don’t get their kimchi mandu ($10) bro it tasted like frozen food and there was no kimchi taste at all. don’t get it pls or maybe they can improve this dish?

Spicy seafood tofu stew with generous portion of clam, prawn, tofu, mushroom & kimchi; soup is flavorful & rich with seafood taste; not spicy, mild sour; kimchi quite crunchy; taste > look; served with a bowl of rice; a comforting bowl of soup..

Pan-fried spicy baby octopus with pearl rice; sauce is spicy & appetising; generous portion of octopus but quite tough to chew; rice is slightly hard but acceptable; portion looks small but filling..

Both were so goood! 10 beef cubes in total but the sauce & mushrooms goes well w the meat! Only pasta, no other ingredients. Good to share as it’ll be gelat after awhile!

Spicy fire chicken with tteok-bokki, baked with cheese.
Cheesy, stringy goodness which complemented really well with the supposedly overwhelming spiciness set by the buldak sauce. The cheesiness seemed to have help take away some of the spice, but this dish still packs the right amount of punch. Enjoyed the overall flavour of it, as well as the combination of Korean rice cakes and chicken. As an iza-bar, Taan seems to offer a ‘tapas’ selection of Japanese and Korean dishes that is best shared with friends. Similarly, I believe that this dish is best shared, especially with its huge amount of cheesiness and spice!
