Hmms, am sticking with their signature egg tarts instead! While this was a change from the standard order, it wasn’t a “wow” change. Coconut lovers would love this tho - a tartful of distinct coconut shreds which provided the much desired texture. However, the mouth do get quite tired from all the chewing. I love the buttery crust tho! I think it would have been a better mix if it was more moist than dry.
Crust has a very strong buttery taste. Not to my liking. Surface of egg tart slightly dry.
Not a super filling portion but can add on other items; might add on the chicken chop next time which looks pretty worth. A cosy cafe that doesn’t do the typical brunch fare, but more homely 茶餐厅 food like macaroni and bolo bun.
$2 // also pictured (coconut tart & chicken pie, both were amazing) // saw the deep green color of this *FRESHLY BAKED* egg tart and was instantly attracted and tempted to try it so i did! think silky smooth pandan flavored egg custard paired with a short crust, buttery pastry and you’d get this delightful treat!! rly enjoyed it and wished it was bigger lolz.
recommended: have it when it’s warmed up for the fresh out of the oven feel
I absolutely love Tai Cheong’s egg tarts!! 😍 ok they’re $2 each but they really are everything i’m looking for in an egg tart. & so prettily packaged too. They have original and the pandan one. I love both.
Definitely a must have when you are here. Rich buttery crust with that creamy texture. Pair with their milk tea for maximum satisfaction.
