Restoran Taipan Yong Tau Foo

You may no longer found this shop at its original spot in Taipan as this restaurant has move further down the road with a new name Taipan Yong Tau Fu. Despite the changes, their yong tau fu taste was still as amazing as before!!

I like how they design the menu in such they offered set meal that can cater either 1-2 pax, 3-5 pax, etc to minimize confusion of what to order. I ordered the yong tau fu set meal A for 1-2 pax (RM32.8) and also a glass of 3 flavour calamansi king drink (RM3.8).

The yong tau fu set consists of 1 pcs of assam fish, a plate of mixed yong tau fu dishes, a plate of oyster sauce lettuce, 2 pcs of fried dumplings and 2 pcs of pandan leaf wrapped chicken. I really like the pandan leaf chicken as the chicken is not too dry and very tasty. Assam fish is also a dish that normal yong tau fu place usually don't serve, however the taste was just OK, not too mindblowing.

The yong tau fu platters taste almost similar to the one i tasted in Puchong, except they never serve it with soup for this particular set (I prefer it to be served with soup). However, the calamansi drink that I ordered was supposed to be a kumkuat juice, it's just that much more thicker and less sweet than other restaurants'.

Ambience: Non-airconditioned, very crowded during meal time especially dinner, smoking is allowed outside.

Parking: Tough to find parking spot.
