Our go-to yakiniku place! We always opt for Tajimaya’s Premium Wagyu Buffet (from $58.90++). Price is slightly on the higher side if you’re just looking for a bbq place, but for other Jap bbq places, I think the price range is normal. The wagyu beef selection for the buffet is limited, but we always bulk order on the wagyu short ribs which is really tender and melts good while grilling on charcoal.

The garlic rice is worth mentioning as well - really aromatic, savoury, and also consistently good throughout our visits.

Recently, the restaurant has launched the @tajimaya.sg Omakase Set (Lunch $88/Dinner $128), an 8 to 10 course menu based on the chef’s daily selection and seasonal specialities that are air flown in from Japan. There is also a sake pairing of 3 glasses per pax from $24. Reservation of 3 days ahead for this omakase menu is required.

Our Omakase Set started off with an amuse-bouche of a waffle cone with spicy miso salmon and ebiko before an appetiser, presented in a martini glass, containing a medley of ingredients such as ume jelly, shirataki, kaki fry and ikura was served. It was then followed with the Mushimono course of chawanmushi with cod fish, lobster meat, crab meat and ikura. The chef has created a good rhythm of courses with varying temperatures and after the chawanmushi, we were presented with a sashimi plate before a trio of sushi in which the Wagyu beef with wasabi shoyu zuke being my favoured one.

The subsequent Yakimono course of A4 Miyazaki striploin showcased the restaurant’s quality beef cuts before ending the meal with the Osui Mono course of a hikari shinshu miso soup served with garlic fried rice. The dessert of a Kurashikku Hokkaido milk pudding was served as the curtain call.

Eat All You Want Premium Aust. Wagyu Lunch Buffet (100mins)

Great food quality and variety, the service was good too, the staffs regularly refill our drinks and change plates, and keep asking if we want any more add-ons.

Damage: 49.90 +$3 (weekend) ++
Add-on : sake $14
Me and my cousin, went ahead to go for lunch without hesitation. The experience of reorder wagyu meat is just insane and we can order whatever menu they have!! Garlic rice, seafood, sashimi, takoyaki etc. The deal was was, both of us ordered 10 plates worth of tri-tip is worth mentioning. Unsure what to eat, wagyu buffet is good for celebration and great occasion to a meaty day! Cheers!

For 100g, really expensive with or without discount because the texture is gonna be slightly chewy, slightly crunchy no matter which cow it comes from(that isnt marbling im q sure). Bincho's version was super soft but idk how they did it, idt it's just Grilling but if it were, it was a very time consuming process on low heat and it's tough to do here, esp with such a Thin slice. Basically not worth getting it there

P. S. Anyway i suggest charring both sides quite a bit, since it's gonna be that texture anyway might as well get more flavour and crisp on the surface(it's less chewy too as the moisture evaporates and it shrinks)
