This is very worth it. The kaisen don includes 9 types of sashimi (depending on what's freshest on that day, including otoro and chutoro). It's also served with 2 appetisers (mine was agedashi tofu and cold angel pair pasta) and inaniwa udon. I like that there was a generous serving of fresh firm ikura, which was enough to coat the rice with its savoury juices.

And you'll know what I'll also come back for? Their genmaicha ice cream! So good! More on that in another post.

As part of the event, Emporium Shokuhin had launched Ehime Seafood & Sake pairing menu exclusive at Takujo Japanese Dining till 30 September 2016.

Hamachi Kama & Daikon, is one of the two main you can choose. Fried yellow cheek from Ehime on a braised daikon (radish) and soaked in their special savoury sauce. So delicious we can't get enough! Six course meal is at $88 with additional $28 for sake pairing.

An awesome place for group lunches! This place serves authentic Japanese set lunches at very good price. I had the Kaisen Don Set, which comes with Selection of the day's freshest sashimi in a sushi rice bowl, appetisers and inaniwa udon.

The sashimi selections were really fresh and the appetisers were unique. Given the quality and portion of the food, as well as the ambience and service of the restaurant, the set cost me $28, which is very value-for-money.

My other colleagues ordered the A5 Miyazaki steak set and the live lobster sashimi and tempura set. All was good. Will definitely go back again.

Or that special date night to bring your other half to? Takujo is offering a 7 course menu at $78 (member price, but you can easily join as member for free!), these curated dishes are paired with a designated Sake (for addition $28). Pictured here is the Flamed Citrus Sea Bream Sashimi Slices, usually I'm a Salmon only person but these fresh fishes are really refreshing especially paired with those red vinegar jelly ☺️ Thank you @emporiumshokuhin for feeding us, @thegoodfolks for the warm hosting! And @cassakating for extending the invitation 😻
