Had the Salmon Cream and Seafood Tomato Omu Rice. Both dishes are not bad and the egg is as usual the highlight

Refreshingly sweet and sourish berrilicious drink. An ultimate burst of thrist quencher with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries to munch on.

Smooth steamed egg with prawn, chicken and salmon roe. A pleasing hot savoury pudding to have.🤭

I don't know men... This pas-ta look pretty sus. It doesn't look exactly like the one on their menu but it is what it is. Mentaiko cream pasta with prawn and bacon, topped with an onsen egg. Although it says cream pasta, its actually not quite. The water to cream ratio is a lot higher. The creaminess is lacking but the taste is still acceptable. Savoury, eggy and a little spicy. Prawn were small & bouncey, bacon seems kinda drowned, mushroom alright and noodles is softer than al dente. Passable pasta.

Beautifully swirl of creamy omelette over a bowl of rice, flood with savoury demi-glacé beef stew, then garnished with blanched broccoli. Beef pieces was soft and chewy but the texture feels kind of aged. Omelette has its natural egg taste without seasoning, same goes with broccoli. When eat together with demi-glacé beef stew, its an enjoyable meal.

2nd time visiting tamago-en, previously I ordered the omurice, and was very disappointed as both the egg and the rice tasted very plain as compared to other restaurants selling the same.

This time, I ordered their signature ultimate egg rice (Grilled eel with shredded egg), if you don't already know, the egg whites are served whipped until fluffy. Sadly, I felt that the entire dish would taste better without the egg whites as every bite I took tasted like foam. The rest of the dish was fine though, the unagi was decent and the shredded egg provided an interesting texture to the dish

Aside from all the negative aspects of the mains, all is not lost as the pancakes they serve are delicious, fluffy and sweet, I would reccomend visiting just for the pancakes alone.
