You have to believe me when I tell you that the π™π™§π™žπ™₯π™‘π™š π™€π™œπ™œ 𝙐𝙙𝙀𝙣 [$10.2] kind of BLEW MY MIND at how many egg elements were in it… esp for an egg lover like me 😍 for its price point, I think it’s crazy how much fish roe they added on top of quite a large portion of udon, and the tempura flakes were just the extra crunch I needed. The texture of the udon was also really chewy! The only downside I recall was that the combination of all the eggs got a little bit too salty at one point but hey… I’m not complaining

The broth is just right for me. Not too salty but savoury enough for my liking. The beef is not tough and absorbs the broth well. Sweet potato tempura is abit cold but still taste decent. Overall not bad for the price value

Had the burpple 1 for 1 deal and ordered the Sanuki Beef Egg Udon with prawn tempura. The burrple deal also required us to get a drink, which we could select from a range of soft drinks. Really like the udon. The broth was a good balance of sweet and savory. The udon noodles were chewy. Usually, I find udon noodles to be quite plain but because the broth was so flavorful, it seasoned the noodles well enough. The prawn tempura was fine. A bit cold and not super curnchy since it was sitting out. Total came out to $16.69 for 2 sets.

🍜 sanuki beef egg udon (S$11.60)

i’ve always been a huge lover of udon & when the craving hit, it was a huge no brainer that i had to pay a visit to @tamoyasg @ plaza singapura. especially since they offer 30% off with @burpple beyond!

udon noodles had just the right bite and chewiness to it, beef slices were tender & fatty and the onsen tamago added a creaminess to the savoury yet slightly sweet broth.

i think the broth could be a bit overwhelming for some towards the end since it had a lot of depth to the flavour; but it was just right for me & i really enjoyed using it as a dipping for the crispy tempura!

my only complaint is that the tempura bits got soggy by the time we sat down with our bowls. queues get long pretty fast even on a weekday evening, but for affordable delicious food, i’d say it’s worthwhile.

Comforting bowl of pork udon with a runny egg and smooth chewy udon noodles. Personally, I prefer the sanuki beef udon over the pork udon as the former is more flavourful. Nevertheless, a decent and reasonably priced bowl of udon with value that's hard to beat.

There is usually a queue at the stall, so you may wish to head down during early lunch or early dinner hours to avoid the queue.
