Tamoya was established in the home of udon, Sanuki (now known as Kagawa) prefecture in 1996 by Sanuki udon champion, Tamotsu Kurokawa. Tamoya Singapore is first in Southeast Asia and also first overseas outlet! Brought all the way from Tamoya Japan, from Kagawa prefecture, Sanuki udon is hand-crafted from Tamoya's proprietary flour mixture (made from 3 different flour) and is served with "golden dashi" broth. very generous meat portions that came with my Beef Udon! tempura was on point too! would also highly recommend the tamoya mixing dry udon, the spicy minced meat that came with it was superb! 👌🏼✨

This is just straight up value town. I was ravenous after training that I swear I can eat a cow, but this bowl was so filling and scrumptious it was able to satisfy me at the low low cost of merely $5.6?!(w Burpple Beyond)

The udon was thick and slurpy, the broth hearty and substantial with the egg mixed into it. They didn’t scrimp on their beef slices, and it was free flow tempura bits and seaweed. This was such a great find, certainly will come back again when I’m done with my exercise.

This place allows you to choose a base udon with the option of additional tempura sides.
On their condiments table, they have unlimited wakame and tempura batter so you could literally fulfill your tempura dream.
The seaweed is fresh and the broth contains the right amount of salt. Worth it with burpple 1 for 1, comes with an additional tempura and a canned drink.

📌BUbz got the black garlic tonkutsu tgt w the two tempuras (one fried chicken cutlet and one chicken gyoza) since I didn’t want any tempuras & I got the beef & egg udon.

🍳The onsen egg was perfect!! Wasn’t rly a big fan of the black garlic tonkutsu broth but the pork was p tasty!!

Would’ve preferred it if the broth was served hot tho

I feel lucky that the customer who is queuing in front of me is a Japanese lady. What I need to do is to pay attention to what she orders as a strong reference of what kinda of authentic food the original Japanese people will choose. Thus I pick fried fish and pumpkin! The breading of the fried fish is thick and crispy with nice aroma however I still taste that fishy smell (maybe because it's getting cold? ). Pumpkin tempura is the similar skin of traditional shrimp tempura. They have various of sources that on self-service table to go with your tempura.

Had the black garlic tonkatsu ramen. Great value for the set that comes with your own choice of tempura and drink. Good ambience to sit and talk too! Will be back to try their signatures
