This bowl of hot beef udon ($10.80) is wholesome and simple, and just a great bowl of noodles. The flavourful and pleasantly sweet broth, the tender slices of beef, and the thick udon cooked to a masterful ratio of softness and bounciness... Every component is meticulously prepared to a high standard.

The all time favs consists of the Sanuki Beef Egg Udon, Oooh-mami Udon, Triple Egg Udon, Beef Udon and Curry Beef Onsen Udon.
My fav is the Triple Egg Udon, a rich and satisfying combination of chewy udon noodles with tobiko, mentaiko, tamago and butter. The tobiko provided a crunchy texture while the mentaiko with its rich, thick and almost paste like texture gave the udon a silky dimension. The tamago when broke apart further accentuates the silky texture making the udon nice to slurp on.

The Oooh-mami Udon is handmade udon noodles coated with rich XO sauce. Toss the noodles together with dried sakura ebi, fresh spring onions and bonito flakes. An onsen egg sits perched on the bowl of noodles.

The curry beef onsen udon are coated in rich, fragrant Japanese curry sauce. The tender and flavorful beef slides sits atop with flowy onsen egg blanket in rich creamy curry that will sure warm your soul.

Tamoya's house-made silky noodles are nest enjoyed in fragrant bonito soup with tender beef slides to enjoy the most authentic flavors or zest is up with a soft flowy onsen egg that will give that extra oomph.

Tamoya Udon boasts a total of 31 outlets across Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. Their soup and udon are handmade on site with love with ingredients imported from Japan to ensure the most authentic Japanese cuisine is served to their diners.

Nestled under strips of thin beef slices lay a generous portion of silky udon noodles! The udon has a bouncy and smooth texture in every bite, slurped it up together with the golden brown shouyu broth that had a hint of beef stew flavour 😁

The curry cheese katsu udon tasted especially good when served piping hot! The cheese blended well with the pieces of katsu, and the Japanese curry was not too overwhelming.

For the sides, we chose the vegetable, mushroom, and crabstick tempura pieces! They were very crunchy and savoury 👍I love the idea of how we could choose our own sides!

There is also a wide array of condiments available for you to add as much flavour as you want to your broth. Personally, I felt that the broth wasn't too sweet or salty 😊

All in all, it is a great place to satisfy your udon cravings, although I wouldn't frequent it too often as udon tends to make me feel bloated 😂
