Although they are at the back facing, you wonโ€™t missed them as thereโ€™s constantly a long snaking queue in front of their stall. They only sells roasted chicken and have 3 prices to choose from, $3, $4, $5. We ordered the $4 and the meat portion were pretty generous. Roasted chicken is very tender and juicy, although it looks chunky. And thereโ€™s isnโ€™t a layer of fats underneath the chicken skin. Rice is very fragrant, not too greasy and texture is just perfect for our liking! They also give us a separate small bowl of special thick sweet sauce for dipping the chicken wow itโ€™s so flavourful and add a different taste to it! I heard that they are usually sold out by 2pm on weekends so do plan to drop by earlier to avoid disappointment. โ €

Pretty ok bee Hoon ( albeit a little undercooked today ) but good enough for a quick meal before I spring back to spring clean .

Wings sold separately - sorry ๐Ÿ˜ž couldnโ€™t photo those - they were gobbled down ๐Ÿคฃ

Although the taste of this thunder tea rice and their tea are different from the ones at Boon Lay/ Jurong West, it is still good and refreshing.

Find the additional of ikan bilis is too salty for me. Glad is crunchy but too salty๐Ÿ˜…

Whatโ€™s special about this store is their pricey YONG TAU FU! Full of meat and fillings! Worth it! ๐Ÿคค

One of my dadโ€™s favourite places for wanton mee, and now one of mine as well! The noodles are really springy, and it doesnโ€™t have the alkaline taste. I enjoy it with the black sauce and green chilli! The fried wantons are great too - really crisp and doesnโ€™t get soggy easily. A satisfying lunch option!

Under Soon Heng Hot & Cold Desserts (้ †ๅ…ดๆธ…็”œไบ”ๅ‘ณๆฑค) Ice Kachang ($1) was quite cheapest dessert that I have been before and consisted of red bean, attap chee, assorted jelly such as grass jelly. I felt that Ice Kachang was quite bland and not that sweet compared on most of dessert shop.

In the same sleepy market that houses the infamous Guangdong Wanton Mee lies my favourite โ€œbreakfast for dinner โ€œ stall.

This stall is Manned by 2 cute grandmas - so hospital and friendly .

There are days that you feel like having your breakfast bee hoon for dinner and this market is the best place to come .

The bee hoon has a good wok hei without being greasy and was well seasoned and not salty.

Just 2.20 and you can eat your fill . Donโ€™t forget to wash down with a good bowl of green bean soup at 90cents - where can you get green bean soup for that price these days ?

You can also get your fill of peanut porridge or nasi lemak with condiments or Orh bee bei dessert .

A pity this market will be torn down soon - not the most comfortable market to eat in but itโ€™s a convenient and reliable place to go to in the latest of nights .
