✨: Upon entry, the greenery filled space greeted me, exuding a sense of calm and serenity. The petite and intricate ice cream cakes lining the clear display attested to the establishment's high level of dessert craftsmanship. ⁣

💬:⁣⁣ This cake amazed looks-wise more than it did taste-wise (and price-wise HAHAH). It tasted just like any other chocolate and nut flavoured dessert. Was expecting a stronger hit of alcohol, but was sadly let down. Overall, not bad at all, but not memorable. ⁣

Still love the place and would 10/10 recommend for the comfortable environment. Would love to re-visit and give their other offerings a shot. ⁣

Round up your dessert-loving pals this weekend and make a trip to OUG for delightful treats. If the name rings a bell, it's because this specialty ice cream cake shop is owned by the folks behind Xiao by Crustz, which showcases more refined offerings. Try the fruity Triscoop (RM22) that sees a medley of raspberry sorbet, raspberry yoghurt and mango ice cream sandwiched between two waffle biscuits. If you enjoy desserts with a kick, the cakes spiked with alcohol might tempt you. The cutesy floats are popular too; each glass comes with a scoop of ice cream topped with a little animal-shaped meringue.

They’ve got cutesy ice cream floats as well, which was recommended. Besides the overly cute presentation, it’s still a good float. You’re supposed to slide the ice cream into the glass and mix it together. Think of it as a rich matcha milkshake – rich, sweet and comforting.

This second project by Xiao by Crutz specialises in ice cream cakes, with alcoholic and some sans the booze. What stands out the most are the ice creams – this dessert has a raspberry sorbet, raspberry yoghurt and a mango ice cream that’s so rich and flavourful. I wish they’d make the scoops available on their own.
