[CLOSED] Taokingu Ramen

Beside selling Japanese ramen, they also have a few choices of fried rice here.

The shrimp was definitely juicy and chewy, but the fried rice could be more wok hey. But overall taste still excellent and I would come back to try the rest of fried rice. $6.90

It is really excited to see some Japanese hawker foods in Woodlands, especially this stall serving some tonkotsu ramen at affordable price.

As it has a thumb up icon beside this on the menu, so decided to go and try it.

Although the taste was strong and spicy, but sadly it was too salty for me. And the chilli oil seems overwhelming the broth.

The noodles still great and good texture, comes with juicy beef slices. $7.90

Very flavourful broth though it did get rather salty after a while. The noodles are cooked to the way we like it, not cooked through and there's a bit of chewiness to it. The rest of the ingredients are alright.

Overall a good meal, but unlikely we'll spend the effort to come all the way here again.

Garlic spicy fried rice with pork cutler @ $7.90

One bite into the fried rice and the fragrance of the fried rice brought back good memories of how Japanese garlic fried rice should be. And another mouthful with the chilli makes it even better. Though after a while it started getting rather salty.

The pork cutlet isn't really pork curlet, more like fried pork fillet? But it's soft and tender and quite tasty too.

Overall a good meal but we aren't sure if we'll spend so much effort to come here again.
