Don't be distracted by the fancily-cut fish. Sure, it's good but honestly, it is the very spicy kimchi and chilli sauce (both made by the hawker himself) that are the scene-stealers here. You can even buy a bottled version of the former to take home.
The clear one with clean beefy flavours, or the soy sauce-tinged one with herbal accents? I love both though I'm a little partial towards the dark-coloured soup. However, the clear one pairs exceptionally well with the citrus notes of cilantro. Ever wonder why they give you calamansi with your clear beef soup? Also, it works better if you're eating it as beef noodles especially with thick bee hoon. Ok, that's all.
Had some chicken mee the other day during my lunch break at work, simple basic ass singaporean food but still delicious 😛😛😛 .
