Tatsu (CHIJMES)

Mekajiki & Shake sashimi. Both sword fish belly and salmon sashimi were extremely sweet and fresh. It was served quite thickly sliced which made it so flavourful.

Hot sake. When warmed, the umami of sake was enchanced, slightly sweet yet fragrant which paired really well with the food.

I don't usually drink a lot of bubble tea but when they became so hard to come by, the bubble tea craving is real! This one ticked all the right boxes, milky but still strong tea, bubble that were tender and chewy at the same time with the right dose of sweetness. Definitely not a waste of calories

This was super fresh and yummy, it's been a while since I'd sushi and I liked that it came with a generous portion of wasabi and pickled ginger, though neither were required for this as it was good on its own

My lunch at Tatsu was simple but comforting. There wasn't any standouts, but each item - a king prawn, salmon in foil (not pictured), beef, and garlic fried rice - were done right. It's their entry teppanyaki set during my first visit after all, before deciding if we should try other sets here next time.

For this style of teppanyaki that's more classic, a place that I really like is Keyaki @PanPacificSingapore. For a teppanyaki with modern touches, Teppan at RWS does it very well.
