Taste like childhood, just like the Chee Cheong Fun from primary school canteen.

Silky smooth Chee Cheong Fun in Thick and sweet dark sauce, with sasame oil and seeds.

Chee Cheong Fun here is retro singapore style. So comes with no fillings inside.

Quite a popular store here at ghim moh.

Silky-smooth Chee Cheong Fun at Ghim Moh. Teck Hin Delicacies offers only plain Chee Cheong Fun with no fillings. Just some sweet sauce, chilli and sesame, simple but so good.

Unusually quiet at Ghim Moh market today and I later realised why -🤣

Always a long queue at this stall .

I would rate it average - the texture of the Cheong fun was not as Q and smooth as I like it to be .

3 dollars for this 🙃 - wouldn’t say it’s value for money as opposed to paying 3.50 for a full deal of say wanton mee or maybe chicken rice .

Century Egg & Pork Congee.

Incredibly smooth porridge

You won’t miss this stall because queues form every breakfast. What is more comforting that a steamy hot bowl of porridge for breakfast ?

The porridge is so smooth , it can rival those from Hk / congee type restaurants. And at 1.80, you’d be paying a fraction of what you would pay at mui kee or yin ji 😝. The century egg is well cooked til the yolk is soft and melts in your mouth. I like that the egg and porridge is kept apart until just before serving so the egg taste doesn’t permeate too much into the silky white porridge .

I actually enjoyed this porridge better than the century egg porridge at Tim Ho Wan because the meat here was leaner 😊 and the porridge had a smoother texture .

The chee cheong fun is also pretty good here but the trick is to let the rice rolls cool for 10 Mins before eating and you’d find that the consistency of the rice rolls become more QQ.

My favourite breakfast stall at Ghim Moh market .

I love the Saturday morning vibes at Ghim Moh market .

You see young parents taking their children from stall to stall and wait for them to give their nods of approval to what catches their eyes and you see families with their elderly parents queuing up together for the all time favourite chee kueh .

Breakfast for me today were rice rolls sans the chilli ( because of my gastric flu) . You will see Long queues forming at teck hin for their porridge and rice rolls . I would say that both items are pretty good and very affordable.

The rice rolls are smooth but my only gripe is the way they were prepared - they were a little “ over - steamed” . Rice rolls need to be heated at slightly lower temperatures so that they do not become overly sticky and I would say for that , duo ji at Chinatown smith street Hawker and or you ji at Tiong Bahru Hawker does it the best .

Having said that , these were good enough 😊 for my chee cheong fun craving .
