New Teck Kee Chicken Rice (The Rail Mall)

Ate chicken rice for breakfast before our hike because why not :) store was relatively empty at rail mall in the morning. Chicken was tender and the rice was fragrant as well. Little pricy at $5.50 per plate, but the taste makes up for it

A very solid roast chicken rice shop. The rice was fragrant and not too oily. The chicken itself was quite juicy and plump but not greasy. Meat was tender including the white meat and the skin was flavoful though soggy because it was drenched in sauce

I like the quick services from the staff. Within 5 minutes after I sat down, a staff came to me to take my orders. The most amazing thing is that my orders came within 10mins after I ordered my food. I like the roast chicken because the meat is tender and juicy. I ordered 1/2 a chicken and the portion is big. I also ordered vegetarians and eggs. Their portion is also huge. I think the portion is big enough for 4 pax. The place isnt that cooling even though they had 4 aircons and 4 falls working at the same time. The open door concept didnt appeal to the costumers as the place will be mucg cooler if they had a door.

Finally lunch after 14km walk from Pending LRT to Chestnut Park to ZhengHua Park to Singapore Quarry and finally ended at The Rail 🚃 Mall.
