With the cuisine focuses largely on unique Asian fusions, you can expect dishes such as the Singapore Chilli Crab Pasta, Singapore Chilli Crab starter served with deep fried mantou to unique desserts such as the Brown Sugar Sea Salt Panna Cotta which is constructed with a base of black tea jelly, topped with brown sugar crumble, sea salt foam and a shot of Bailey’s.

The dish of the evening was none other than the Kam Heong Venus Clam Pasta that takes inspiration from the classic Malaysian stir-fry style and this time round chef uses venus clams to cook with his homemade kam heong paste, with the addition of chilli padi, curry leaf powder and garlic. Squid ink spaghetti is used in this dish and the spaghetti is able to latch onto the sauce and wok hei from the stir fry. The fragrance from the dish will make you want more and truly a standout plate from the restaurant. In addition to the modern Asian interpretations, there are also western staples such as the wagyu burger in the menu, made with a 50:50 patty ratio of meat to fats, sandwiched between brioche buns.

I really think Mpire at 77 Telok Ayer deserves more customers with its great food and awesome vibes - a respite in CBD! Probably one of the best tasting carbonara I’ve eaten - cheesy and chock full of meat. Plus get one for one with #burpplebeyond

This is the Kabuke's rendition of the hugely popular 'cold angel hair pasta', and a refined one.
🔸
The cold somen in truffle shoyu was topped with uni and caviar, before shavings of white truffle (at additional cost) rained on it...
🔸
So good, so precious, so decadent, but still relatively affordable.

For the first time in 9 months since their opening, Kabuke has added several new dishes to their menu. Expect to see premium ingredients such as uni, white truffles, ikura, foie gras incorporated into the menu at prices made affordable.
🔸
Some of the new menu items are pictured here:
1. Jamon Tamago Bomb with Uni ($19)
2. Salted egg renkon chips ($6)
3. Sweet miso Iberico pork jowl ($18)
4. Unagi tempura ($15)
5. Soy braised inaniwa udon ($15)
6. Kabuke Pleasure Bowl ($58)
7. Uni Ikura Somen with shaved white truffles ($38).
🔸
Compared to other Japanese places serving similar offerings, Kabuke has priced theirs competitively. And we loved what we had last night, it was good.

Amaou, derived from the letters “Amai” (sweet) or “Akai” (red), “MAui” (round), “Ookii” (large), and “Umai” (delicious).

With a name like that, it was really hard to resist getting a pack and to put the name to the test. A popular Fukuoka produce, it is without a doubt one of the sweetest strawberries I have tasted. The size and the whole texture (as well as the price) certainly sets it apart from the usual ichigo, as a single bite will reveal that they are much juicier and less fibrous. Soooo berry sweet with just a tinge and slight degree of sourness!
