To finish up the Tenshin series, the last course of the meal! And as the saying goes, the best is saved for last ๐Ÿ˜‰ Prawn kakiage tempura was served upon a bed of hot rice and atop of it, a glorious tempura egg ๐Ÿ˜ (this has to be requested for) I really regret not capturing on video how perfectly the egg yolk oozed out when cut ๐Ÿ˜ญ Mixing everything together, including some sweet sauce, and the don was heavenly ๐Ÿคค So good when eaten with the side pickles and red miso soup (I always prefer the rich taste of red miso over white miso) - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback

These were the variety of vegetable produce served to us during our meal. In order - mushroom, pumpkin, shishito peppers, lotus, and asparagus. All of them were really simply and tasty and look at how beautiful that mushroom bouquet is ๐Ÿ˜ - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback

White fish was served to us two ways - one wrapped in shiso leaf and fried while the other was served on its own. Both were simple, fresh, and delicious. Personal preference of course, but I liked the shiso leaf-wrapped one ๐Ÿ˜‹ - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback

Probably the most iconic item served here - fresh, rich, and creamy uni wrapped in a seaweed bundle and tempura fried. So crispy on the outside yet soft and gooey on the inside. I always wonder how they manage to prepare this without overcoming the uni since it is so delicate! This is heaven in a bite ๐Ÿคค FYI, the flavored salts that I mentioned in the previous post are pictured in the background - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback

Starting off the tempura courses with the classic prawn, it was battered and fried on the spot in front of us. The prawn was fresh while the batter was light, delectable and crispy. I also like how they don't waste the prawn's head and it certainly does make a crispy snack when fried properly ๐Ÿ˜‹Their tempura courses are all meant to be complemented by the standard daikon tempura sauce, as well as by the flavored salts available at the table in front of you (matcha, curry, spicy salts). The flavored salts were definitely something different and I never thought that they would go so well with tempura - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback

I always enjoy having a nice salad included in a course meal as it's a good palate cleanser. This one was colorful and tasty, with the dressing adding both tanginess and saltiness to the dish at the same time. Really love the crispy lotus chips as well - ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿป #burpple #throwback
