Delicious spicy sauce on crispy and delicious tempura. You get vegetable, chicken, prawn and other seafood. Decided to go for Kohaku Tendon after a disappointing tendon outing with another popular Japanese tendon chain. Moist chicken breast is the STAR of the bowl.

This Kaisen Tendon ($26.50++) is good for times when you crave for both tendon and chirashi.

Fish was decently seasoned and satisfied my craving, but the tempura was the highlight - airy batter with little hints of any greasiness. Particularly loved the mushroom tempura, with all it's unbelievably juiciness earthiness.

I had mine with spicy sauce and multigrain rice. The array of deep fried vegetables was sinfully delightful. The sauce had a slightly spicy kick that was palatable. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal.

This will be the first time the two popular F&B brands come together side by side to offer their own specialities and exclusive items. The new concept will be opening on 31 July 2019 at the basement of Clarke Quay Central.

Personally, the best of both worlds is the Kaisen Tendon by Kohaku and Teppi ($26.50). You get the popular tendon from Tendon Kohaku as well as kaisen don recipe by Chef Teppei Yamashita, who helms Teppi Japanese restaurant and Man Man Unagi.
