Guo Ya Yin Teochew Kway Chap 郭亞吟潮州街粿汁. An honest bowl of piping hot kway (rice sheets in braise broth)

Continue to support the hawker here during this difficult time. This stall was sadly nobody when I came to tabao.

As this morning started with rain and cold weather, a warm kway chap definitely worth warming my body.

This uncle have been selling kwap chap since 1970 and continue to sell this traditional Teochew kway chap.

Generous ingredients given for just $5.

When it arrived, I could tell this isn't an ordinary stall. Look at how dark the broth was and how assorted the ingredients were. Most of the latter were average, but the pork was orgasmic. It had that pungency I love in pork. Bonus that the kway came with lard! Finally, I don't like the inconvenience of kway in large sheets, but here they chop it up.

A comforting bowl of kway chap ($3.50) from 郭亞吟潮州粿汁 Teochew Kway Chap at Amoy Street Food Centre (#02-117) - the ingredients are well-braised and soft, and the vinegary and garlicky chilli goes very well with the kway chap👍🏻

A warm bowl of kway chap on a lazy morning really hits the spot. What more, it’s only $3.50 for this bowl of blanket soft kway and mountain of ingredients in the background.
