delicious Cendol to beat the heat! couldn’t resist their assam laksa. not bad! i think it’s nicer than D’laksa in singapore (hougang mall)..there’s a branch for teochew cendol in Singapore Northpoint mall and the standard is there

The Penang prawn noodles was surprisingly good! Tasty and spicy. The sambal gave the dish an extra kick! Loved it!

Great chendol that reminds me of the ones you get in Penang. I am planning my next trip up!

Thought it would be good to try the Chendol here considering that the brand does have a bit of heritage, hailing from Malaysia and established since 1936. The Durian Chendol, unlike the other non-seasonal flavours here, comes without the standard toppings of kidney beans — instead, it comes only with Gula Melaka, Ice, Coconut Milk and Durian flesh. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much Durian going on in here; finished the portion of Durian in one spoonful — a little too small for a Chendol that costs a whopping $7.90, though I pretty much appreciate how there is a balance between the richness of coconut milk and the sweetness of Gula Melaka. Thought that there also wasn’t enough ice going around to keep the entire bowl cold enough, though the Pandan jelly were longer here than that of local eateries; more noodle-like hence slurpier, though also way more slippery and harder to scoop with the spoon. Wouldn’t really call it value-for-money considering the original variant already costs $4.90; way higher than other places (there is also another one served at Malaysia Boleh! in the same mall at a lower price), though the portion sizes are also somewhat bigger here as well.
