Reviews

From the Burpple community

On a weekday lunch hour whereby the restaurants and public food courts were filled with diners, I was surprised to see that there were lots of seats available at Terminal M, a gourmet foodcourt run by Ministry of Food.

Through the ordering kiosk, I got myself a Mixed Tendon (S$11.90) that basically comprised prawns, dory, long beans, a Shiitake mushroom, eggplant and a fried egg. Comprehensive as it might have seemed, I had an uneasy feeling when I saw that there was little trace of sauce. True enough, the Donburi was presented in a dry manner, and that while the meal was substantially filling, the satisfaction was far from my ideal Tendon with crispy Tempura and a fluffy bed of rice.

Maybe, their Korean fare or Western food might stand a better chance for more thumbs up? I don’t know.

Fried Chicken Wing Cheese Hot Pan
Β·
Fried chicken wings coated with melted cheese is just heavenly. Crispy skin wrapped with savoury cheese melt, biting into the juicy tender wings. Sinful but worth the calories. Their Beef Bulgogi Fries, Beef Bulgogi Aglio Olio Pasta and Luncheon Meat Rice Ball are a few of my favourites as well, all great for sharing! This Halal Certified Korean eatery will start selling Korean comfort street food starting 31 Oct 2019. Do drop by when you are at Changi Airport

Beef Bulgogi Hotpot ($33.80)
Their version of beef bulgogi is loaded with mushrooms such as enoki mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms. Another highlight of this beef stew is also the Korean Glass Noodles! All in All, the beef stew is very hearty, comforting and packed full of protein. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
In conjunction with the upcoming fasting month, Terminal M has also launched a series of special bento sets for both dine-in and takeaway. Starting from an affordable price of $11.80, these sets are perfect for families to break fast together. Did you think I was referring to Jewel? 😝 Nope, I'm talking about Terminal M, the first halal multi-concept gourmet food hall in Singapore Changi Airport where you can enjoy a variety of MUIS halal-certified Korean, Japanese and Chinese food from familiar MOF brands that are now halal πŸ™Œ .

Craving some authentic Korean food? Check out CafΓ© Papa and have the classic Dosirak ($10.90) or the Budae Jiggae Specialty Myeon πŸ₯˜ ($10.90) There's also Hanssik with its Beef Bulgogi Hotpot ($33.80) which is perfect for sharing with a group of kakis πŸ˜„ .

If you're feeling up for some Chinese food, give Yu Long Quan's 6-in-1 Chicken Dumpling πŸ₯Ÿ ($13) which features unique Singaporean flavours a go! πŸ˜‰ .

Or maybe you wanna tuck into some Japanese nosh? Well, then the sashimi bowls and tendons from Kaisen-ya and Ten-ya will be your best bet to satisfy your desire for some freshly sliced sashimi or golden-brown tempura! Feeling hungry yet? 😜 .

In conjunction with Ramadan, Terminal M has also launched a series of special bento sets for both dine-in and takeaway! Diners can choose from a wide variety of delectable items such as Kimchi Fried Rice ($12.80), Spicy Chicken Value Set ($15), Beef Bulgogi Value Set ($17) and more! I would recommend getting the Value Set as they come with your choice of protein as well as fried sweet potatoes, japchae (glass noodles), kimchi and rice. They're great choices for families and friends to break fast together! 😊 .

Other than the food, I'm really impressed by Terminal M's commitment to the aviation theme in terms of its interior design πŸ›« There are booth seats which resemble first class cabins and vintage suitcases sprawled across the entirety of one wall. Ordering is done via a self-ordering kiosk and you can check when your order is ready by looking at the "flight" information board. Totally on point! πŸ’― .

Anyway, stay tuned for more reviews of the dishes which I tried at Terminal M πŸ€— .

Thanks @brandcellar for the kind invite & warm hospitality & thank you @terminalmbymof & @mofgroup for serving us with this sumptuous spread ❀

6 in 1 Chicken Xiaolongbao ♨️
The flavour is not as strong as pork xlb, but it comes in interesting flavours like salted egg yolk, chilli crab, black pepper crab, teochew herb & spices and laksa.

2. Korean Fried Chicken Platter 🐣
A chicken platter filled with chicken, fries and comes with a pot of cheese. What's not to love?

3. Red Bean Pancake 🌱
The red bean is smooth & not super sweet while the many sesame seeds add a super nice crunch & fragrant to it. Super love.

Of course, there are lots of other dishes available which I'm sure you'll find smth you like ❀

Wanton w Vinegar & Chili Oil
Β·
Generous portion of 8 wanton for just $8.80, I could seriously finish it all by myself! The skin is thin, meat is juicy. Just the right spicy level, vinegar taste wasn’t too empowering too. Most importantly they added Chai Poh! It gave additional crunch and that sweet savoury taste
