Mini Thai Baang haul ahead!! Went there in the late afternoon the other day and most breads I wanted to try for sold out 😭🥺. Also, I think they don’t have an ig account so I can’t tag them :,).
This was the black sesame Swiss roll and OH BOY it was so good!!!!!!!! The cake itself was soft and fluffy (like a cloud), while the black sesame paste was strong, well-ground and not dry at all!! The black sesame fragrance was also very distinct (I’m in love) and I’m really gonna ask if they sell their black sesame paste in a bottle the next time I visit them HAHA 😂
Overall: a solid 9.5/10 cos it was $5.50 for 4 rolls but still worth it imo!! 👌💖 #thaibaang #thaibaangbakery #blacksesame #goma #cake #swissroll

This was novel. The bread itself was Thai tea flavour, while the filling was choc. Decent.

I loved this bakery the first time I visited. This is supposedly one of their signature buns, but it was ordinary. The choc is the filling. Banana and choc usually go well together but there was no spark here.

While passing by that area, the nondescript Thai bakery caught our attention and we had to get something before we leave that area. As we are unaware on their signature bakes, we observed what others are buying and when its our turn in the queue, we immediately pointed to the banana loaf that was on the window shelves, with only two left. This was clearly the right decision that we have made as even after the trip back home, the bread was moist and nicely fragranced from each bite. The bananas used were definitely of the higher quality as we can taste the mild sweetness and tartness from each bite, without any of the artificial flavouring. Each bite was reminiscent from the ones over the Causeway from Hiap Joo Bakery and it was so comforting to be able to get such quality bread in this situation where we are not able to travel out of Singapore. If you are ever at the Lavender area, do drop by Thai Baàng Bakery and grab some bakes.

A deeply comforting snack for the soul with oozing dark choc and ripe bananas encased within a soft body. Definitely a challenge to say no to another of it.
