Thai Supermarket

Really glad for giving me fried banana and felt paiseh after taking it from auntie 🥲 but overall I felt that its quite oily on the inner , crunchy and crispy on the outer and not having char edge on the banana itself.

You can get Thai snacks from @baankanomthai.sg in golden mile supermarket. I got kanom krok in both the pandan and sweet potato flavours, kanom tokyo and their coconut pancakes. The kanom krok was a bit soggy probably due to it being kept immediately when still hot but it was still fragrant and had a chewy texture. I preferred the pandan flavour because it was a lot more fragrant than the sweet potato one. The coconut pancakes were yummy too, I liked both black glutinous rice and sweet corn flavours. The kanom tokyo wasn't really to my liking, the pancakes were too sweet and too thick for me 😅 You can pre-order so you don't have to queue for long and it guarantees you your snacks.

I got fried sweet potato balls and fried banana from the neighbouring stall in Golden Mile Supermarket too. The Sweet Potato Balls were crispy and chewy, just a tad too sweet but still good!

There's something wrong with the texture I can only describe as sticky. Either it's bad or it's alien to me. The corn kernels were also not fresh, which you can tell from the photo.

Thai fruit snacks are to die for. The fried balls and banana fritters are fried to perfection in the batter. Crispy, sweet and crunchy at every mouthful. $3 per 6 pieces. Must try both.

Best version I've eaten in Singapore. Totally addictive.
