Came to know of the existence of That’s My Pizza after chancing upon their social media pages online. Located at Bukit Timah Food Centre , That’s My Pizza takes over the stall that was previously occupied by the now-defunct Genesis Kitchen Grill & Pasta, That’s My Pizza is situated at the row of stalls that faces Upper Bukit Timah Road — it is also immediate neighbours to Go Pasta, and other notable stalls in the same row includes SLII Muffins as well. Being a relatively new addition to the food centre, That’s My Pizza offers patrons freshly-baked pizzas that are made upon order — their Instagram bio mentions their pizzas to come with pizza dough that is hand-stretched and also prepared with a long fermentation process for a dough that comes with deeper flavour, better texture and is easy to the stomach. Offering just pizzas here, the flavours of pizza available at That’s My Pizza are rotated on a daily basis — they do offer quite a few safe options such as that of the Hawaiian, Margherita and Pepperoni; there are however flavours that are more adventurous such as the Rosemary Garlic and Curry Chicken. That’s My Pizza also offers dessert pizzas such as that of the Chocolate Banana and Chocolate Marshmallow; the prices of the pizzas here ranges between $13.90 to $17.90 and comes in a standard size sliced into eight (8) slices good for 1-2 pax to enjoy.

Going for the flavour that is being indicated “special” on their menu, the Applewood Bacon is a relatively simple pizza that comes with tomato purée, cheese, and applewood bacon. There is really nothing too complicated about the Applewood Bacon pizza that we have ordered, but we really found it to be at a quality that was pretty much restaurant-grade. For one, we really enjoyed the pizza crust that is lovingly made in-house here; the pizza dough here comes at just the right thickness — also liked how it wasn’t too dense and carried a good chew amidst the fluffiness with a nice hint of smokiness. The fermentation process for the dough also seemed to have delivered on what they had promised; the pizza crust indeed did feel easy to the stomach — nothing too overwhelming or carb-loaded like the commercially made ones from fast food restaurants out there. All the other ingredients just came together brilliantly; the combination of the cheese, tomato and bacon no doubt is a classic combination that would not go wrong, but the folks at That’s My Pizza most certainly got the proportions right here — there was never a moment one particularly condiment seem to have stole the limelight on its own but it’s that harmonious blend of oozy and stretchy melted cheese, tangy tomato purée and the savoury notes of cured meat that made this especially appealing. A pizza that definitely left us yearning for more.

It is pretty much a shame that we made our visit to That’s My Pizza with just one other — the Applewood Bacon Pizza hit the spot so well that we were really intrigued to try out their other more adventurous flavours such as the Rosemary Garlic which features fresh rosemary and grass fed butter. Tasting the pizza from That’s My Pizza, one could tell without a doubt that a lot of heart and passion goes behind the process of getting the pizza dough right — it does seem to be beautifully perfected here; a result of probably a lot of sweat and effort to find that recipe that works right for them to bring their very best out to the patrons who swing by for their pizzas. We weren’t expecting a lot when we made our visit to That’s My Pizza; they had however wow-ed us in as many ways that they can — their pizzas are definitely worth making the trip down to Bukit Timah Food Centre for, considering how this was easily one which came well-executed with quality quite close enough to compete against that of Italian trattorias. Prices may be a bit steep for hawker fare, though is actually rather reasonable for a pizza especially if shared across the table — the ingredients used probably premium enough anyway. A hidden gem that is waiting to be uncovered; a spot that one should hit before the crowd starts to form.
