Waffle drizzled with gula melaka sauce, sea salt custard cream, caramelised walnut and lastly topped with vanilla ice cream and boba

Croissant filled with gula melaka cream and tapioca pearls
.
The croissant was flaky but a bit burnt though while the gula melaka cream added a nice sweetness
.
And as usual, the pearls were soft and mushy

Gula melaka sponge filled with mascarpone cream and tapicoa pearls
.
The gula melaka sponge was quite cold in the middle and the pearls were mushy
.
And I couldn’t really taste the gula melaka flavour
.
A bit disappointed by this dessert though
.

Gula melaka boba and sea salt custard cream on charcoal toast

The charcoal toast was really bitter and dry but the sea salted custard cream somehow complement it a little
.
And as usual, the pearls were mushy

Just had Boba Toast + Tea Set at @thebakerychef which I got at 26% off on ChopeDeals for S$9.90.

Thick charcoal toast, topped with sinfully rich sea-salt cream and sweet chewy boba pearls. Accompanied with a cup of Earl Grey tea. Quite a yummy little treat to reward oneself upon Payday.

Don’t forget to check out the Chope app (@chopesg) for other deals up to 50% off, which you could be treating yourself to this Payday.

Waffles (Matcha Ice Cream) (Maple Syrup) (Ala Crate -$6.50) with choice of Tea (Earl Grey Tea) (Ala Crate -$4.50) ($9.60) I found its waffles was quite bit hard to cut into pieces, less crispy and dry aftertaste. Ice Cream was quite not much taste for Matcha, Maple Syrup complemented with waffles and can dipped or drizzled with waffles. I didn't eat lunch and straight away to head for waffles because of waiting time. Do expect waiting time for waffles to be ready for serving at least 15 to 20 minutes depends on the crowd because they are fresh made on the spot after placing order at cashier.

Matcha Latte ($4) was quite creamy, milky and thick texture after stirring with milk. It's also under Feb Promo (slice of cake + hot tea / coffee) ($9.60). I literally ordered Matcha Latte at every café in Singapore and even at overseas (recent at Malaysia).

Red Wine Pear Cake ($6.90) is latest new cake under menu. It's also under Feb Promo (slice of cake + hot tea / coffee) ($9.60). I heard from lady boss that it was released on last friday. They cooked pear with Red Wine and caused that red wine aroma spread around the cafe. During first few tries of cake, I thought it's yam taste but it's pear diffused with Red Wine :"). I really like the way they use fruits (sweet taste) (figs / strawberries / kiwi / blueberries) mixed with pear diffused with Red Wine (refreshing + sour taste). It's quite simulating for the lighter taste and quite suitable for post-cny desserts.

Any cake ordered on last month and comes with Hojicha Latte ($2.00). I felt that Hojicha latte is not strong taste and quite rich roasted tea aftertaste.

Matcha Fromage En Marble ($7.90)
It's quite cheesy and soft cake that melt inside your mouth so fast. I felt that matcha taste is not much and over covered with cheese cake. Any cake ordered on last month and comes with Hojicha ($2.00)

Doesn't taste as good as I remember it to be. I think the chocolate flavour lacks a little oomph.

Not too sweet and has crunchy pearls - I like it! Coffee is good.

I got english breakfast tea with promotion for set costs $12 for June and promotion ends till the end of June. So don’t missed the promotion for lava cake series.

Boba Thai Milk Tea Lava Cake (la carte -$9.80) quite interesting and unique cocoon for the latest trend of dessert. Thai milk tea taste a bit plain but creamy and not too sweet probably due to boba pearl topping on top of the cake. I got promotion for set costs $12 for June and promotion ends till the end of June. So don’t missed the promotion for lava cake series.

They are having June Promotion for lava series cake + hot tea or coffee ($12). Its worth it for getting a set instead of having ala carte ($9.80). I felt that the taste for chiffon cake quite dry a bit but got matcha lava and whipped cream covered up. I can taste jasmine more for the cake itself rather than matcha. Got some of hits or miss for green forest lava cake but I want try on the lava boba milk tea lava series next time before promotion ends till the end of June.

Lava’s made of creamy Thai milk tea, boba soft and chewy, plain vanilla ice-cream to go with. *Warning: it tastes very light, so eat this first before other cakes!*

$13.80. Cotton Candy Mousse, Vanilla Sponge Cake within. Its blubber is made of the mousse, which we find the sweetness just right, not too cloying!

The mocha was flavourful but not too sweet, perfect for me 😋 I also really like the vibes here with its slow music, warm light and red brick wallls. A tick off my food bucket list!

Valrhona 70% dark chocolate mousse with fieulletine base, very photogenic cake but doesn’t compromise on the taste. The chocolate was very rich, recommend for sharing. They have a March promotion special with hot drink and any slice cake for $8.30!
