Super nice staff but the food was meh. Maybe I shouldn't have DIY-ed.

This is a rather unflattering photo but I found it to be pretty good, with ingredients that complement well. You can choose to customise your own box or get their signatures. Portions may look small but the flavours are rich and hence filling, may even be a bit jelat. Overall a good experience as the place is cozy with good music and the staff are warm and friendly as well

It's my second experience with big cheese. Two years later, I finally got chance ask my friend to eat this and she like mac and cheese food. I like Make-A-Mac concept because a lot of people would rather to choose and make own eating style and flavour. I was choosing two ingredients (1 veg + 1 meat or 2 veg or 2 meat) + two types of cheese + one type of pasta. It cost $5.90 nett for small size. My friend order large size but the size for large is not really worth for the price to be honest.

Truffled Mac & Cheese, Pulled Beef, Topped with Gruyere Cheese.

Tucked away at one of the corners of Sunshine Plaza, @thebigcheesesg is a Halal eatery that specialises in mac & cheese. You have a choice to customise your own bowl or simply order their specialities mac that have the best selections put together.

Being a Cheese & Truffle lover, this definitely hit my weak spot. Flame-torching the top layer was a pretty smart idea as it gave a slight charred fragrance which I adored. However, I felt that the macaroni could have been more al dente.

P.S. This can be slightly jelak for some...

Special place where you can choose your own ingredients to make your own mac and cheese. price from $5.9. it’s really cheesy and can get quite gelat at the end!

Ordered The Big Cheese (S). It was during lunch time at noon so there were many of us together in that small space.

I must say the size small is indeed very small. Contrary to what I thought, the pasta being used is not macaroni and instead shell pasta, even though the dish is in the name and they brand themselves as a mac-n-cheese outlet.

Taste-wise, so-so. It’s not that cheesy at all. To be honest, I could do better for $8. Overall, I’d say it’s alright but overhyped due to it being seen as a “cheaper” alternative for Western food in the area.
