The Bistro (Suntec City)

The sandwich was evidently served warm from the oven, and the ciabatta was soft (not hard like I imagined). The button mushrooms beneath the buns were wrapped in melted cheese and bursting with flavours. The portion was generous too. Greens were fresh & neutralised the tanginess of the melted cheese as well as the unhealthy chips. Wish they could replace the chips with something like sweet potato fries.

Everything from the design, cutlery, presentation of food is perfect. The food however looks better than it tastes. The marbled steak was not really that tender, japanese teppanyaki beef would’ve been better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The baby back bbq pork ribs had a very strong Heinz BBQ sauce taste that masked its innate flavour. But it was very tender. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The apple crumble was well made and fresh from the oven, but the scoop of ice cream was way too small in proportion to the crumble. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The mango pudding tasted funny and was largely untouched at the end of the meal.

Previously when I came and ordered steak it was so tough and over cooked!! (though I had ordered medium rare it came looking all brown with no trace of red). Not only does the NUSS Guild House at Suntec City Serve up detectable local and Western cuisine in The Bistro, the restaurant also offer Chinese New Year dinner during the Chinese New Year Period. I like the local cuisine selection in the Bistro. They have stopped the seafood hor fun with xo sauce which was much tastier than the normal version. The portion is huge and ingredients are plenty.
