[CLOSED] The Brown Ups

From this new relatively new kiosk that opened at the basement of Lot One Shopping Mall between Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert and MOS Burger; this stall sells a variety of takeaway desserts from Fried Ice-Cream, Fried Mars Bars to Milkshakes and Churros. Regular cinnamon sugar dusted Churros are available and in three different flavours — Red Velvet, Plain and Oreo versions; there are also Ultimate Churros at $4.90; Churros that come with toppings such as this Cookies Supreme and a Chocolate Dream. The Churros are pretty decent here; crisp and a little dense inside hence the firmness. Coming in portion of three Churros cut into four strips each, the Churros are first dusted with cinnamon sugar before cookie crumbs and chocolate sauce comes loaded atop. Flavours are rather predictable and would fit the typical sweet tooth, but all in all it does add for a good addition for the neighborhood especially for the fact that it is Muslim-owned. Do note that the food churns out rather slow here; it's a simple one-man operation who have to deal with the deep fryer, the blender and the waffle machine all by himself — waited around 5mins for this to be done while the customers ahead of me who ordered the waffle were still waiting for their order when I left; just a head's up for those who might be thinking of grabbing a fast bite from the stall.
