This place serve offer good ambience, excellent food and their service was good as well, portion was decent. But ultimately kudos to their lava cake. Hands down, it was one of the best I tasted. Their $29++ 3 course lunch meal was pretty worth it considering the fact that the rest of their food is in the $20+ range.

One of the most disappointing french toast, ever. Did not like how thin the bread is or the lack of flavors and decadence. Seriously, what is french toast when the toast isn’t thick and fluffy or drenched in some sort of maple/honey. So underwhelmed, doubt it could have been salvaged by a scoop of ice cream.

Beyond impressed at the crispy pork ears (first pic) and truly enjoyed the hearty dishes that followed!

Made a 6pm reservation here intending to order one of the salads & the chestnut parpadelle ossobuco ragu. Mind you, this was a 6pm indulgence and I still had dinner at home with the kids at 8pm 😂But when I walked in, I noticed the Happy Hour promotion of Crispy Pig’s Ears with 2 cocktails ($25). You choose your first cocktail from a list of 7 and the second cocktail is chosen by the bartender. The fruity cocktails go very well with the crispy pig’s ears, which are served with sriracha mayonnaise, pickled kohlrabi and piquillo peppers. You layer everything onto baby gem lettuce leaves and enjoy this with your hands. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to use your hands, but it tastes better that way! Will be back.

The grilled octopus is carefully placed ingredients including celeriac foam, capers, tuna mayo & seeds’ (pumpkin and pine nuts) salsa verde marinated with bay leaf and garlic. Slices of octopus are tender, springy but not chewy with various textures and flavours.
Grilled Octopus at S$27.

Rounding off our meal at this European enclave at Tiong Bahru is this chocolate mousse. What sets it apart is the use of saffron syrup, together with rhubarb compote and sorbet.
And after this we had more alcohol. This place has a one-pager menu for food, but many pages for alcohol, including rosé, sparkling, white, red, ciders, beers, cocktails, mocktails and spirits.
