Spotted something new at the underpass link at @rafflescitysg tonight ✨ Got to admit I was drawn to the cool, caravan-like setup of the store, not so sure about the food though (hadn't tried). Fairly small space with a handful of seats, serves "authentic Thai" takeouts. Has anyone tried them?
If you are in Raffles City and you are craving for some Thai food, check out the new The Caravan by Simply Eats. Although I can't vouch for the authenticity of the food, but I can definitely vouch for the tastiness of *most* of the dishes and desserts. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg
The Caravan just open this week. Is like Thai fast food. Price reasonable but I feel the food average only. The tom yam noodle soup taste not bad but too oily. The Thai milk tea also ok only.
Before making any judgement on this, let's just say that this only costs $1.80 so there isn't much to expect here. From The Caravan which opens today at the pedestrian mall from Raffles City to Esplanade Xchange. The strips of bread was warm and probably steamed for it was pretty soft, though I personally would prefer it to be buttered and toasted for a better texture (perhaps it's just me). The Sangkaya is decent though — albeit scary from the neon green but apart from its initially scary looks, it carries a good whiff of Pandan and coconut flavour and is pretty sweet enough that works as a dessert or tea-time sweet treat overall.
