Salted egg yolk sauce with tinge of spicies n a well fried chicken with airy buttery waffles.😉👍 waffles can be mre crispy tho.

Chicken is crispy and wasnt dripping oil. Waffle is the soft chewy type and slightly sweet. Salted egg sauce is ignorable (not mind blowing enough)

Gravy was thick and portion was generous! Comes with a drink too. Went before lunch hours and there weren't queues. Worth the hype😍

The fries ($5) tasted very normal, but the orh nee sauce was exceptionally thick, which make the fries taste much better when dipped into.
The salted egg yolk chicken rice had an extremely generous portion of salted egg and chicken bites, however it will be perfect if the salted egg yolk sauce tasted more thick. But for the price of 7.50 which comes with a drink as well, I can say it is really value for money!

New shop in town at blk 190 Toa payoh central. The shop is crowded and hence I just pick up a takeaway item which looks interesting - salted egg chicken. $5 for a bowl and a side is $2.50 (but I didn't order). The portion looks decent. The chicken is crispy but unfortunately there is not salted egg taste despite seeing shaving of salted egg everywhere. Can't taste the spiciness or saltiness. I can only taste a little of curry leave flavor. Not too worth my calories I reckon.

First tried it at Orchid Live Seafood together with the lobster porridge and I was hooked onto it with the crispy and tangy fried chicken.
So happy to find them at Toa Payoh with chicken concept! I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't served piping hot. Unusually cold, the crispy chicken retains its special marination and the super convenient way of savouring it, whereby the chicken meat is pushed up and you can easily bite it off without getting your hands dirty.
Expect a long queue and the difficulty to find a seat during peak hour!
