Priced at $7.90 for this set, the single item that took up most of the cost is probably the giant chicken thigh. Let’s start with the positives which are the amount of meat that you are going to get from the chicken thigh, the aromatic herb-marinated skin and the crispy peanuts & anchovies. However, what was let down is that beyond the skin, there isn’t much flavour in the meat. The blue pea rice is lacking the coconut flavour slightly while the sambal was towards the sweeter side, which is not the kind that I will like. Lastly, the fried egg could have been better with a runny yolk but this time round, the yolk was fully cooked and hard.

A new stall in Tiong Bahru Hawker Centre, serving nasi lemak sets with its attractive blue pea flower rice.

Gotten the set with their signature fried chicken leg. It is really came in a big portion and well marinated. It was mentioned that their chicken leg are marinated overnight with more than 10 herbs and spices. So the crunchy bites totally irresistible to have more.

Other ingredients was nice as well such as the fried egg, peanut and ilan bilis. But was a bit disappointed with the sambal, as it wasn’t spicy enough for me.

Set B - consisting of a fried chicken thigh, a sunny-side-up, a dollop of homemade sambal, fried peanuts and anchovies, and sliced cucumbers. The main star is obviously the chicken thigh. It was seriously so so good.
