Homemade potato hash patty served alongside smoked salmon, baby spinach leaves, sour cream, poached egg, radish slices, ikura and microgreens.

Smoked salmon and poached eggs served on sourdough, topped with homemade hollandaise and a side of seasonal greens.

BEWARE. Nowhere in the Burpple T&C was this mentioned, but the manager will only apply the 20% off for one main. This is dishonest practice and left a bad taste in my mouth. The food wasn't even memorable but this incident still remains in my memory and made me decide not to return ever.

while it looks kinda shady and not photogenic, this dish was actually pretty good! came with plenty of bonito flakes and a decent amount of shrimps! pretty worth it, especially if you have burpple beyond.

Beyond deal is borderline deception. 20% discount applies only to one main, not all. This was not stated anywhere in the deal page or mentioned to us when we said we were using burpple. Requested for a receipt to be printed before payment but staff didnt know how to do so, realised discount was for one main only after payment. Requested for the second main to be discounted by redeeming a second beyond deal after reading an earlier review. Manager was obviously very unhappy and unwilling when processing the second discount.

Food wise, ordered lemon herb and prawn pasta and academics breakfast. Both were okay but nothing outstanding. Pasta was aglio olio style and had no lemon/herb flavour. Food service was slow. Had a long black which was poor, only had a hint of roast but no coffee flavour. Strange for a place that calls itself the coffee academics.

Service was attentive but overall unpleasant experience due to dishonest burpple deal, lousy coffee and average food. Left feeling cheated, money could be better spent elsewhere. Will not be back.
