Casarecce pasta was soft and had a nice texture to it. I enjoyed it but hubby didn’t as he said it’s too “nua” for him. Guess he prefers al dente kind. Not as spicy as the umami pasta and crab meat wasn’t as generous as expected.

Used Burpple beyond.

Burpple beyond deal! Spicy but tasty!! XO sauce is highly flavourful and delicious! Second time eating and it does make your stomach burn a little.

Strong, intensive cup of latte macchiato ($6++)! My favourite from their signature range with a hint of gula melaka but they call it gula jawa!! Highly recommended.

Super worth it with burpple beyond! Each item was hefty and decently done. I really liked the sausage - substantial and fragrant. The sourdough was slightly on the tough side, even for sourdough.

The 3-Meat Pizza (S$24.00) was one of the latest additions to the menu of The Coffee Academics, and I must say that it was great. Comprising a combination of spicy chicken sausage, pork sausage and bacon, the pizza was not too “gelak” thanks to the right proportion of mozzarella and parmigiano cheeses and tomato paste that made it up.

What truly amazed me was the pizza crust. It was thin, dry and super crispy, as though I was eating some sort of baked crackers. That was a good thing for me because I hated it when the crusts were too greasy.

For the record, the kitchen crew sliced the pizza into 8 portions. In case if you decided to go for sharing, this pizza was just nice for someone with an average appetite.

We had a huge feast at TCA a few days ago, Umami Pasta was a real kick, only order if you can take the spiciness, Crab Pasta has just the right amount of crab meat, Big Breakfast portion is okay, not too huge, Pancake was our favourite. I thought the pizza crust is a little too thin for my liking, but some may like it that way. Had the lychee cruffin, it is one of my favourite that day. SERVICE by Juin Hao (if I remember correctly) was excellent!
