Had a lovely meal at this café with a friend. I ordered the Foie Gras and Miso Pasta which was phenomenal. My friend had a Beef Cheek Ragu which was just as delectable. The food here was just spectacular!

Visited for a sunday brunch, this cafe is located in katong. Just a walking distance from 112 Katong. Those who have been there would know that its an area with lots of nice cafes and restaurants. Cafe hopping lovers this could be one of ur spots!

Drinks: We ordered ice caramel latte ($7) and ice mocha ($7). I like that the drinks were not sweet and the mocha had nice little chocolate flakes in it!

Sides: We saw that the fish taco ($14) was really popular so we ordered to try and indeed it was super tasty! The fish was thick, crispy, yet soft and juicy. There was 2 taco so great to share with someone. Or you can order it as a main too. Really filling! We also ordered the steak salad ($18), I love that the steak had a nice amount of fat (fat = flavour!!) that melts in your mouth and the meat was cooked medium perfectly.

Main: We ordered the Wagyu Burger ($21), it came with salad and fries. I love caramelized onions in my burgers as it adds some natural sweetness to it. The patty was thick, juicy and flavourful. When ordering they did not ask for the doneness of the patty but in future i would definitely request for a medium doneness as that's how i like my beef.

Ambience: I like that it is quite chill even though the place was full.

The menu had lots of choices and interesting fusion food like yuzu chicken, miso pasta. Price wise i think it was reasonable cafe price especially the portion was big enough to share among 2 people. We were too full to try out the desserts but we wanted to order the Chocolate dome which looks delicious. I cannot wait to bring more of my friends to try out other food in the menu!

had a really delightful dinner here at The Communal Place. I had the Miso Salmon as a main, which was exceptional. The mashed potato that came with it was the best I ever had, a great balance between cheese and potato. My partner and I also shared the Fish Tacos, which was well cooked and was a great choice as a starter. an excellent, casual dinner spot for a weekday night :)

One of my favorite spots to recommend!
I frequently visit the thrift shops in this area, and afterwards my friends and I will pop by for a tasty lunch! Went again recently and I highly recommend the Miso Salmon – their portion is always really generous, the fish tender and skin crisp. The miso sauce, mash and glazed vegetables really pulled the fusion together.
For dessert, I shared a chocolate dome with my friend and it still is my favorite dessert! You get to drizzle white chocolate and caramel sauce on a large chocolate ball topped with ice cream, and you crack the whole thing open to reveal the incredible insides. It’s both fun and tasty and very sinful. Must share with friends haha.

Thanks for having us Communal Place, we will be back soon!

Thick brioche toast served with Nutella, maple syrup and berries. It’s as good as it looks. Generous portion, good for sharing as it can be quite jelat.
