Pulled Pork Burger in Brioche bun, c/w coleslaw, French fries & salad ($17.00). Succulent strips of well marinated pork provides a refreshingly new taste sensation

Great place to spend the WFH days.
Cozy ambience, decent food, reasonably priced and attentive staff.
Pleasantly surprised with the welcome drink too!!

Their wagyu burger exceeded my expectations! It was so juicy and the patty was huge for the price. Their fries were really crispy too! I really recommend The Communal Place for those who are looking cafes to try in the Katong area :)

Good ambience, nice service, reasonably priced food.

Visited with a friend and was welcomed with a pleasant sample of their Welcome Drink (which my friend later ordered a full-sized version of). Had their Miso Pork Belly (special for the day, $14) for myself and a Fish Taco ($14) to share. Portions are very filling and reasonably priced. Pork Belly was a good balance of lean and fatty meat, very tender and glazed in a rich and savoury miso sauce. Simple salad served on the side. Would recommend enjoying it as a side dish with something more simple to balance out the rich taste. Fish Tacos were surprisingly large, featuring very crispy fish filets with a light, simple salsa to balance out the dish.

We finished off the course with a Chocolate Bomb dessert ($18). Very fun experience as we broke the ball by dropping it from a height, revealing a number of different berries, cheesecake pieces and honeycomb candies. Condensed milk and caramel sauces were also offered to complement the experience.

Overall, an enjoyable experience that I would recommend for special occasions.

Hearty portions and nice ambience! Waiters were friendly too. A nice place in a quaint neighbourhood.

A charming place with a pleasant atmosphere. Came here for dinner with a couple of friends and we shared a couple of dishes between us. Highlights of the meal were the "Yuzu Chicken" which was great for sharing; as well as the "Foie Gras Miso Spaghetti" which was a tasty and unique dish by itself albeit the foie gras being a little small. We also got the Salmon and Spicy Scallop Aglio which were good dishes as well. Finally we got to try their "Chocolate Dome" dessert which was an experience by itself. You get to drop the dome from a height and watch it break open with all its delicious goodies on the inside! Great fun.
