I came here for the whiskey, but was impressed by the food as well. Yet another dish that I saw @larvitar write about on Burpple (his photo looks much better than mine).

I swear, the Spicy Prawn & Scallop Aglio Olio ($22++) tastes much better than it looks in my photo. Can't decide if the prawn was juicier, or the scallops. Both were pretty dang amazing with the al dente spaghetti. This dish had the right amount of spice/heat in it, & I'd definitely order this again πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

The ambience is cosy, though lighting isn't ideal for food photography. I can forsee myself returning here many times. If you're curious like I am, you'll have a field day here flipping through their whiskey menu. I'm loving it. πŸ₯ƒ

The draw of The Cooperage, to me, is their extensive offering of whiskey - from the exquisite & rare to the accessible yet tasty. They have a page of whiskeys that is filled with "X year malts for $X" - where X is 12, 15, 18, 21. Very affordably priced!

It’s tender, juicy and full of flavour! Totally worth sharing with your makan buddies.

The general price point for 30ml of the entry-level and popular whisky choices is between $12 to $25, which your wallet would rejoice at.

As for this pasta, I was impressed with the happily lubricated and very al dente Spicy Prawn and Scallop Aglio Olio, served with a crustacean that confirms big heads are better (is that a saucy wink or a reference to Pinky and the Brain? – Chaste Reader).
