Haven’t been to TDC in a while - inflation definitely hit, the bowl has shrunk by at least 1/3? That aside, was pretty pleased with my selection: Cilantro Lime Quinoa (a nice base with a light citrusy tang), Baked Sweet Potato (yum! really very sweet), Herb-Crusted Dory Fillet (skip it, it’s meh), Eggplant w/ Garlic & Herb (alright but was a little dry), Sautéed Mushrooms (shimeiji was crunchy and delish!), Pomegranate Seeds (for a pop of flavour), and Pesto which is what I always go for, for that herby and bright flavour. I do prefer a thinner pesto tho, but their dressings are generally quite thick and creamy.

For my own reference, replacing the eggplant with fajita veg and dory with peri-peri chicken would be the most ideal combi! But I shall give the other options a try too.

what i ordered: romaine lettuce + chopped kale (+$0.50) + herb-crusted dory filet + grilled asparagus + scrambled egg whites + baked almonds + meyer lemon vinaigrette

food: yum! the dory was smooth and silky, the herbs adding a nice touch to the taste. the romaine seemed a little hole-y, and the egg whites was nothing too special. the vinaigrette was sweet and added a nice touch to the entire bowl! (it was the star of the show, if i were to be completely honest) quite filling even though it seems very little. a little pricey but honestly all these salad bars are quite expensive :<

quite busy for around 1pm

tastes amazing! salmon was (+2) and avocado was (+1) but the whole combination with the quinoa, scrambled egg whites and chilli flakes (a MUST for spicy lovers) was superb. will definitely be back for a healthy quick fix.

Another atas cai png.
.
• base 1: chestnut brown rice - quite fluffy and not dry! with big grains.
• base 2: romaine lettuce - your typical lettuce, nothing so special heh
• protein: herb baked dory - not quite dry, especially because I had olive oil as the sauce. the herb gives another dimension to the taste.
• side 1: sichuan tofu - it is not strongly sichuan-y in terms of flavor, just minutely spicy.
• side 2: cucumber - your typical cucumber.
• side 3: fried tempeh - the way I had it growing up! some chopped chili and kicap manis would be good:( no sour taste like how some hawker stalls do it. fried just nice to feel healthy.
• topping: scallion - nothing special. actually ordered by mistake.
• dressing: garlic and thyme olive oil - taste just like muted olive oil to me. it is a good grease but that's about it. one thing I note is that they pre-package the dressing into plastic containers. I requested to drizzle it to reduce plastic waste but they can't accommodate. sadly.

Found another heaven for clean-eating! I love the extensive options and reasonable pricing (a regular sized meal priced at $12.00, with 2 bases, 1 protein, 3 supplements, 1 topping and 1 sauce). A reg-sized meal suffices to fill up one for lunch (no food coma!) Their bases were pretty ordinary - you've the regular lettuce, quinoa, brown rice and pasta. However, the selections of protein and supplements were unique! For proteins, they're mostly seasoned and flavoured. Instead of boring steam/ sous-vide chicken that tastes bland, theirs comes roasted to a golden brown. Their dory fillet was herb-crusted and elevated the taste of the otherwise rather bland dory. They run seasonal specials at a top-up, such as lamb sausages (for Xmas) too! I love their maple-roasted yam (must, must try) and charred broccolli. For sauce - pesto vinaigrette is definitely my go-to!
