The charcoal bread was a lil hard to tear apart. Other than that it was a satisfying meal

Oreo, creamcheese, ice cream, fluffiness, delicious batter, soooo good 4.75/5

Fat turtle was one on my favorites during my visit to bali

Has an asian twist to it, using karage and soy maple. Karaage is flavorful, waffle is cripsy and fluffy, my only complain is that soy maple is more soy. 4.25/5

I heard so much about this place & its pancakes that I was surprised they only had 2 types of pancakes on their menu. Tried their famed Red Velvet Pancakes (55k++ IDR) & it was enjoyable, although I do agree with a friend who warned me about this - I wish the cream cheese taste were stronger. But then again, it's a cream cheese MOUSSE, so... Hmm. The chocolate soil & honeycomb add a great crunch & sweetness to the dish ☺

For some odd reason I was craving Smashed Avocado on Toast & Poached Eggs (55k++ IDR), so that's what else we ordered too. 🥑 🍳 this was good, slightly soggy towards the end although that's not their fault, I am a slow eater.

Latte (26k++ IDR) was bold & served hot. Came before our mains so we could happily sip on it while we waited.

Was lucky enough to get a seat immediately when we got here at 9:30AM on a weekday - everyone else after us had to wait.

Overall a positive experience & would recommend!

Can't believe a month has already passed since I was in Bali. Am now reminiscing about all the food I savoured then, while counting down to all the goodies I'm aiming to stuff my face with in Paris and London next month.

These green tea churros, served with salted dulce de leche (caramelised milk) were sadly far too crispy, lacking that gooey interior that I look forward to in any churro. Despite that, The Fat Turtle remains one of my favourite cafes to chill at – just stick to their savoury items and pancakes!

If you're in Bali, it's the last three days for you to try this limited-time-only creation, comprising stubby pillars of watermelon and lychee pieces between pancakes, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream perched on top. The fruit on the lower deck are smothered in a subtle rosewater cream, while crunchy elements of meringue and almond crumbs are scattered around the centerpiece.
