This tender and juicy meaty meat is so darn goood. It’s worth the queue, time, and price.

Finally. I made my way down to The Feather Blade. Shopback GO may or may not have a part to play in this..... There was 10% cashback boost til a couple of days ago, I knew I had to visit! That promotion's done with, but their usual 5% cashback is still pretty bomb.

Queued for 15 mins slightly past 8PM on a weekday; got a seat at the bar counter for myself. Not too shabby.

Wasn't asked how I'd like my steak ($21++), but it was done medium rare, which is how I'd like it to begin with. Very pleased with the steak as much as the side of Mushrooms ($7++) that I ordered.

If you're looking for #propersteaks, this is the place to be. Yes, it reminds me of Flat Iron in London, but so what? Give me a delicious steak & you'll make me very happy. 🥩

With Béarnaise Sauce, Sautéed Mushrooms & Parmigiano-Reggiano Creamed Spinach

Inspired by the famous London Steakhouse @flatironsteak, @thefeatherblade is here along Club Street to showcase its signature feather blade steak alongside Asian-inspired sides and sauces. For alcohol drinkers, there is also a carefully curated line up of craft sakes for pairing, not forgetting cocktails, beers and wines.

Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, the steak was well-seasoned and really juicy. Considering the cut of steak used (flat iron), I felt that although it was slightly chewier than the usual cuts, it was still tender enough for me. Special mention goes out to their Béarnaise sauce, which complements the steak so well, taking the flavour profile to a whole new level!

P.S. Get a free cup of Chendol ice cream to end of the meal on a truly local sweet tone! While stocks last 😉

definitely the ‘meatiest’ place. must-try combination: mashed potato and horseradish (wasabi) cream on steaks

The feather blade refers to a cut from the shoulder, at $21++ for a 200g cut, definitely great value. Tender and flavorful, add a little more salt and pepper for the taste to truly shine. There’s room for improvement of course as there’s no char on the steak.

Waitress was nice enough to talk about a few of their specials whilst describing it but i’ll probably only do that on a return trip as we wanted to try their signature. The rest of the staff barely had a smile on their faces. Bear in mind this is relatively early in the evening with half the restaurant empty.

$2 for a small saucer of sauce and $16++ for a 100ml sake. Everything was carefully measured, even their wine which was poured into a cup and then poured into your glass, there is no flair and it feels that the restaurant is being nit picky and very careful managing their costs.
