Melted cheese on chili-tomato ground beef, mixed beans, with thick toasted Brioche, served with nachos & salad; $18.90. Add Sautéed Mushrooms; $3.50.

The chili con carne is hearty and flavourful, and also goes well with the accompanying nachos. A sizeable serving, satisfying and worth it 👍

Garden Slug Petite is a small cafe located in a relatively quiet neighbourhood of Kovan, but it seems to be a a favourite for regulars — especially when you can bring your fur kids here!
The Sambal Cheese Grilled Chicken Sandwich was an interesting one, but I preferred it much more over the beef chilli con carne. The cheesiness went well with the sambal spiciness, and the portion of chicken was rather generous. Then again I am really not a fan of the deconstructed aesthetic of the sandwich.

Pretty underwhelming sandwich for me. Couldn’t really appreciate the deconstructed aesthetic nor function here, especially when eating it this way just felt way messier than it should. Chilli beef con carne was decently flavourful though I was expecting a bit more from the entirety of this dish.

Unfortunately one of the more diluted and tasteless mochas I’ve had. While perhaps not known for their coffee, would recommend going for something else here!

Nice food and gelato, pet friendly too

Left top: chicken wellington @ $23.90
Left bottom: beef chilli con salsa nachos @ $14.90
Right: homemade ginger beer & homemade lemon lime @ $5 each

Used burpple beyond 1 for 1 main + drink, paid $28.90+10% svc charge

We loved the nachos, agreed that it's one of the best that we had. Might be better with some cheese but is already awesome without. The sauce is really just great with the nachos and i even like the soggy ones.

The chicken wellington is not bad but the bacon made it a bit too salty. Good with the jam and also have the veggies in between bites.

The drinks are quite normal, but good and refreshing in this hot weather.

Super quiet on a weekday during lunch time so it's rly chill and great atmosphere for us.

Will be back to try their pastas and gelatos next time.
