This could be one of the best renditions of mac & cheese I’ve had yet! This photo was taken right before the waiter mixed in the egg yolk - the dish was so incredibly cheesy, creamy and rich and every bite packed a huge mouthful of flavour. Would definitely recommend, but unless you’re a huge mac & cheese fan, get it to share so you won’t find it too jelat.

Pig’s head, spicy pickled vegetables, parsley, charred bread - this was a great starter! The charred bread was so amazingly garlicky and buttery and we really wished we had more of it (the portion served was 3 large pieces that we inhaled in minutes), and it went really well with the pig’s head terrine. A good starter to share!

Sinful but delicious! Egg yolk and cheese mixed perfectly. Good to share with friends.

YES THAT’S A CHICKEN FOOT! Yesterday I may have eaten fried chicken for lunch AND dinner.

The salted egg friend chicken (S$ 30) at The Guild is something I’ll be raving about for quite some time. It’s a dish that embodies the concept of comfort food for it’s fried, it’s salty, it’s crispy, it’s tender and it’s a damn big portion too!

It comes with no side, and you can pair it with a fresh greens salad or other lighter items of the vegetables menu.

The Guild is a cozy gastro pub on the buzzing Kaong Saik Road. It’s the brainchild of beloved independent craft brewers Young Masters, hailing from Hong Kong.

Chef Vincent Lauria focuses on homemade comfort food, made with locally sourced high quality ingredients.

The Mac & Cheese ($S 21) is TO DIE for. Creamy, gooey, dreamy. Topped with scallion and a bright orange yolk, it’s the ultimate #foodporn

The service was very good and helpful. When we weren’t sure of drinks they even gave us tasting options, free of charge. The ambience was very chill, not pretentious but had a nice Saturday night vibe! I would recommend the, 1) roasted butter chicken, 2) salt and vinegar fries, and 3) pickled vegetable.

They could improve on making their portions bigger, other establishments of similar standing and price, are offering bigger portions. But all in all a lovely night with good drinks and food!
