Pledging allegiance to this nearby cafe for desserts and coffee lol. I really enjoy their vibes! A recent addition to their menu, the hojicha burnt cheesecake is a creamy treat. I’d recommend sharing this with someone else or it may get a bit too much!

Savoury and literally painful to eat, both saucy and tangy with a pinch of spiciness. This is not the creamy type yet it is smooth.

Hojicha Burnt Cheesecake?? Yes please! 😊😋 You know how Hojicha is always being overshadowed by Matcha, so I'm glad that @thekinscafe came up with a Hojicha version of the burnt cheesecake. The Hojicha was prominent, and the level of sweetness wasn't too overwhelming either. Delightfully light and creamy at certain parts and denser at others, there was a good variation in textures, though some might find some portions a tad dry. Still a cake that I would totally have again though! .

If you're not one with a sweet tooth, this would be the perfect option-tangy but the sourness is well-balanced by a slight cheesy flavour. Loved the smooth and light texture of the cake which was light on the palate, making this a cake that one can easily finish. The graham base completed the cake, carrying a slight sweet/salty flavour and adding a nice texturous contrast. Served with Berries sauce, which was more tangy than sweet. Personally preferred having the cake without the sauce though, as I felt it kind of overpowered the delicate flavour of the cheesecake!

The croissants were super flaky and buttery but the star of this dish was the scrambled eggs. The blend of herbs and chili to the eggs was inspired!
