Home-grown bistro The Marmalade Pantry (#themarmaladepantry) opens its latest flagship outlet at ION Orchard on Monday, 25 February 2019. The new outlet will offer diners an elevated dining experience that is refreshing yet comfortingly familiar. Exclusive menu items range from new creations to three desserts conceptualised by culinary student and MasterChef Singapore’s runner-up Genevieve (Gen) Lee, all of which are exclusive to the outlet. Located on the 4th level of ION Orchard, diners can enjoy their fix of modern comfort food in the 2,389 sq feet, 80-seater bistro with indoor and open space dining options. Best known for its luxurious pastas, exquisite cupcakes, weekend brunches and great tea accompaniments, the outlet offers a brief reprieve from the bustle of city life and shopping, daily from 10am – 10pm (last order at 9.30pm).

A simple dish, yet here the sweet potatoes are crisp with the homemade spicy mayo, it was a perfect appetizer for sharing.

An extremely generous serving of crabmeat with every plate of this pasta. The spiciness level is not too wild and with the tomato sauciness, the pasta is well mixed and flavourful. The bits of surprise with each mouthful is the freshly roasted pine-nuts.

Went back for more! For $26++ a plate, the service and ambience, it’s well worth it.

Decent Mac & Cheese with truffle butter and Parmesan cheese! Rich yet not too jelak! Would prefer for it to be more cheesy! If you are not a fan of blue cheese, fret not. It was so mild that it is likely to go unnoticed.

Loved the warm and moist dessert with yummy crispy bits within! Served with Creamery’s French vanilla ice cream and drenched in toffee sause, it is not too sweet and the perfect touch to end your meal!

Which explain why this flatlay look kinda messy 😂 but that aside, does this spread looks like it’s meant for two? I felt that we had over ordered actually.

Baked Camembert ($18) was an excellent starter but we were pleasantly surprised by the Grilled Pear and Arugula Salad ($22). A medley of fresh rockets compliments with sweetness from sliced poached pears and tomatoes, it left us wanting more~

Singapore Laksa ($32) was a comforting food, as we slurp the mildly spiced coconut gravy and slipper lobster. Dried bean curd, quail eggs and bean sprouts served separately so you can customise to your preference.
