Mother’s Day feasting continues with delivered food from The Masses - affordable french cuisine with an asian flair and happy food for our tummies🤰Pretty much enjoyed almost every dish but some really stood out more than the others. The C&C&C&C Pasta was a personal favourite, with that rich and decadent sauce. We would have love to inhale an entire portion by ourselves but with that rich flavour profile, it’s best if it remains as a sharing dish😂 Also enjoyed the duck confit with its crispy skin and paired with “wok hey” rice noodles but if only we could have a bit more of the rice noodles...Special mention goes to the unami butter and caramel kaya🧈- omg only ordered a small portion to go with the bread but hitting ourselves hard right now for not ordering the big bottles of butter so we could dip our spoons into and have them anytime we want🤤

The Masses is very well known for their Braised Purple Cabbage ($14.90) and the C&C&C&C Pasta ($19.90, main course size, additional $7 for uni pictured), but there's something really good as well - The Massess Ramen ($20.90). That yellowish bag at the background contains the broth for the ramen, meant to be heated before pouring over. That way, you get hot piping ramen with ingredients just nicely done (not overcooked or soggy). Broth was refreshing, with lots of yuzu.

Delivery fee is quite low. I stay about 18km away from the restaurant, and the delivery fee was only $5 (most restaurants I see charge from $8 to $20 if minimum order is not met).

Opened by Saveur’s ex-owner, @themassessg offers “Franco Asian” cuisine that features a menu that revolves around the Ying and Yang of French and Singaporean/Asian influences. To keep things exciting, they pledge to change 70% of their Food and Beverage Menu every 4 months! And guess what? It’s already Menu v9.0😳

👉Spanish Suckling Pig - SGD24.90
braised celeriac, celeriac remoulade, apple plum sauce, jus maison

Not much complaints but I wished the slab of suckling pig🐷 was much bigger.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Braised angus beef cheek ($18++)

Comes with pommee puree, pickled melon, 5 spice pepper, smoked eggplant salad, tamarind bbq sauce.

The overall taste was wellbalanced but interesting. Meat was soft and very tasty.

Love the combination of ingredients but a tad disappointed that the dish was served cold. Can be a little gelat which explains the small portion.

Duck confit ($18.90++)

Duck confit cames with "wok hey" rice noodles. The Horfun was quite nice but I didnt taste the wokhei. The base had mushrooms and salted egg York with plum sauce, which was an interesting combination and went well with the duck. Overall quite a good dining experience.
