GAO! Best black sesame ice cream ever .

That’s basically how good it was 🥰.

Authentic and rich black sesame flavour - beats all the “ famous “ ice cream cafes out there .

I liked that the ice cream was not too sweet and the portions were generous.

Very nice of the owner to provide free drinking water and he served it to the table .

Quaint cafe in this sleepy neighbourhood of Tanglin halt .

Light, and tasty. The portion is very generous and the chilli is a must try for all chilli lovers. I frequently visit this place because its affordable for the portion and its near my place. (A regular)

Surprised to find yummy 🤤 @AWsSignature noodle dishes at @themilkywaysg

The noodle stall used to be located in the nearby food centre.

My favourite was the Fish Maw Bee Hoon (S$5.80) which was rice vermicelli topped with gravy sauce and so much liao such as fish maw, quail eggs, fried meatballs, shredded chicken, minced pork with mushroom and crispy pork lards.

For those who loved spicy food, there’s Mama Tomyum (S$5.80) which was topped with prawns, handmade meatballs, mock abalone, shredded chicken and soft boiled egg.

Next hot favourite was the Signature Noodle (S$5.80) . We had the silky Kway Tiao (flat rice noodle) version, served with spinach, pork balls, minced pork, fish dumplings, mock abalone, and egg dip in pork broth.

Next was Braised Pork (S$5.80) which was noodle topped with home recipe soy braised pork with mushroom. Although it was pork belly but it was smooth in texture.

Besides noodle dishes, there’s also rice dishes such as Scissors Cut (S$5.80) which had rice topped with braised pork, curry chicken, zhup cai (braised vegetables), mushroom and minced pork, braised gravy and curry gravy.

Double Scoops (Smurf + Sea Salt Caramel - $3.50) They didn't sell ice cream in terms of single or double scoops. Sea Salt Caramel taste much light in range between salty and sweet. Smurf didn't have much strong taste more than like lighter sweet taste.

It’s a short 4-minute walk from Commonwealth MRT station and it is a pretty quaint space in the neighbourhood.

The waffles were not much to shout about but the ice-creams were delectably smooth and fragrant. (I might be biased because I love earl grey, who would have ever thought that black tea and tangerine peel would make such a great combination?)
