Do weekend brunches with the fam right at this well-loved dim sum spot in Bangsar. From the dim sum menu, order best-sellers that include the 'Char Siew Bao' (RM7.80), Siew Mai' (RM9.80) and Scallop Jade Dumpling (RM10.80). Fill up on the Fried Noodle Hokkien Style (RM28), which Burppler LL Eats describes as"hella good"! For the perfect bite, make sure each spoonful has a dollop of the housemade sambal and pork lard – no regrets!

Nestled in Bangsar Shopping Centre is one of KL’s most notable spots for dim sum. The large restaurant is ideal for big family meals — the variety of steaming baskets is impressive and service is efficient. Fill the table with their most loved items including the 'Siew Mai' (RM9.80), Imperial 'Har Kau' (RM10.80) and 'Cheong Fun' with Prawns (RM11.80). For larger plates, look to the lardy Hokkien-style Fried Noodles (RM28), which Burppler XinYi Tan’s suggests having with the side of sambal for more oomph. Pro tip: There's typically a queue here on weekends, so it's best to make a reservation to skip the lines.

The Siew Mai deserves a post of its own because I love siew mai and the one here is soooo good. These dumplings are larger than others and are generously stuffed with fresh prawns.

Notably one of the best places in town for dim sum and for good reasons: quality food coupled with great service, all in a comfy setting. It’s hard to talk about what’s not good, so I’ll just say to order the ‘Siew Mai’ (RM9.80), Prawn & Water Chestnut Dumpling in Spicy Sauce (RM10.80) and the ‘Cheong Fun’ with Prawns (RM11.80). All very delicious and different in their own way.

Hokkien style fried noodles (RM 28+) loaded with lardy goodness, goes so well with the sambal they supplied on the side. This dish has got the old sch sense on palate, except no worries of breaking into sweat

Impress your family of dim sum devotees by bringing them to The Ming Room. This Cantonese restaurant dishes out a consistently good dim sum breakfast, deserving of the love it gets from Bangsar folks — there is almost always a queue, so make reservations for a shorter wait. Look to the well-executed Crystal Spinach Dumpling (RM7) with plenty of spinach to supplement the prawn filling with leafy goodness. From the array of fried delicacies, pick up a plate of Pan-Fried Radish Cake (RM6) — the trio of lightly browned squares are served soft, supple and teeming with radish flavour. Finish brunch in tip-top condition by cleaning off a portion of the specialty Chilled Durian Pudding (RM9)! Non-halal.
