A whooping 800gm of deliciousness! The pork was succulent and so full of flavour, and it went really well with the different types of nyonya sauces too! Served on a bed of golden egg fried rice which was pretty tasty as well. This is good for sharing among 3-4pax.

Tucked away at @claymore_connect along Orchard Road, @the_peranakan is both a restaurant and a museum, offering authentic Straits Chinese cuisine in a space that resembles an old, luxurious Baba residence😍. The Peranakan is tucked away inside Orchard's Claymore Connect, and is both a restaurant and a museum. You can expect to learn a lot about Peranakan cuisine from the staff here, or even feel like a Nonya Tai Tai with their Weekend High Tea Set ($28) - a combination of traditional sweet and savoury bites. A highlight is no doubt their famous Tok Panjang, a smorgasboard of classic Peranakan dishes like Itek Tim, Sambal Petai Prawn, and Ngoh Hiang served on a massive bamboo tray.

The Durian Pengat here is so fragrant and the bite-size kueh kueh is just nice for an afternoon teabreak for 2. Gonna mark this down as care package idea to surprise my loved ones. —$38 includes free delivery charge! Anything with free delivery fee now is most welcomed.

Look at this beautiful dessert platter consisting of: Apom Bokwa Pisang Pengat (pancakes in banana sauce), Pulot Enti Kelapa (glutinous blue pea rice with coconut), Kueh Binga (tapioca cake), Kueh Kosui (gula melaka pudding-cake) and my favourite Durian Pengat (creamy durian puree)!

Available as part of the Vegan Tok Panjang set (S$48++/68++). To prepare this vegan set, the chefs also had to tweak the traditional recipes (e.g. vegans cannot take butter). Hard work indeed! .
