Truffle fries that was really good! Wasn’t oily at all but the truffle taste could have been more pronounced!

Ordered the croissant with scrambled eggs, avocado superfood salad on sourdough toast and a roasted chicken grain bowl. Surprisingly good for cafe food!!

nothing like breakfast for dinner! portion was pretty huge and i couldn't finish! eggs and hollandaise were good but rosti was too crispy for me. it was okay but i probably wouldn't hit this again 😕

Chunky cod fillet on top of a boat of mashed potatoes topped with a generous portion of leek.

This dish is tasty but as with the other dishes at The Poplus, the portion is quite huge.

Was thinking of ordering desserts after but with 2 main dishes + fries shared between me and a friend we were struggling to finish.

With the creamy scrambled egg and thick bacon on top of the croissant it makes for a hearty meal in itself.

That being said I think overall it was just too creamy and oily due to the combination and didn’t suit my tastebuds.

($17.00) without add-ons

The base was one of the most crispy buttermilk waffles that I ever had, so that was pretty great! The waffle was covered with an extensive serving of cornflakes crumbs (which were lightly salted) and lemon jelly. The vanilla ice cream was also one of the tallest ice creams (on a waffle) that I have seen in Singapore, and it was coated pretty extensively in honey citron extract, with a small amount of white chocolate sauce layered on it.

I have to say that the combination of the sweetness from the ice cream and white chocolate sauce did not pair very well with the sour honey citron and lemon jelly, with the sour flavours overpowering the sweeter side of the dessert. This costs $19++, which is on the high end, but I guess it is pretty reasonable considering the ice cream serving and the effort needed to prepare this dish.
